CAT'S One SHELLuva Songstress!

Cat Shell is as good on the eyes as she is the ears!

There's live music — and then there's LIVE music! South Florida's Cat Shell fits well within the latter category!

Her mood-pleasing renditions laden with jazz, blues and accoustic soul reverberate wherever she performs, and the venues just keep on coming. But don't let our meager words move you — visit her site and listen for yourself. You'll see — and hear —why she's featured in this week's South Florida Fun Times!

With thousands of fans already following her on social networking sites like MySpace, her recent 2008 debut album release, "Cat's Outta the Bag," boosted her career even higher, like the second stage of a three stage rocket!

And it was recorded little over a year after she started performing professionally!
So what makes "the seductive songstress" tick? Cat's a self-taught singer/songwriter for starters, and prior to her launch toward divadom, wrote poetry.

We asked Cat about her personal influences. "My own personal life experiences, plus some of the great vocalists of yesterday & today — Billie Holiday, Etta James, Peggy Lee, Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, etc. I listen to alot of R&B/neo-soul too — artists like John Legend, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, India Arie, etc."

Cat also sez she'd like to get into TV, movie and commercial music.

The pop/jazz genre performer is now getting radio play — and she's even performed live in radio studios.

Buy "Cat's Outta the Bag" at I-tunes or CDBaby.com. And if you'd like to know more, visit Cat Shell's music website!
